Home Chest & Back Workout

This is a great workout to get started with at home if you don't have a gym membership. And I will sometimes do this workout when I don't have time to go to the gym, or when I'm traveling and don't have gym access. Here's the workout: SIDE TO SIDE PUSHUPS -- 10 REPS. Move your hands wide apart as you go down, and close together when you reach the top of the pushup. Alternate sides, so that you are traveling side to side as you do your pushups. DUMBBELL FLYS -- 10 REPS. Move the dumbbells up and down in a CIRCULAR motion, not a PRESSING motion like a bench pres. Keep your arms slightly bent. Isolate your chest as much as possible -- you should feel your chest muscles squeezing together as you do this, and minimal tricep involvement. BENT ARM SIDE LATERAL -- 10 REPS. Keep your arms bent at a 90 degree angle. Raise your arms upwards and to the side. You should feel this in your deltoid (shoulder) muscles primarily. If you are advanced, do this explosively like I do in the video. If you're a beginner, use slower, more strict form and isolate your shoulders more. Be careful with too much back involvement if you're first starting off (it may lead to injury if you're not conditioned to explosive weight lifting moves). BENT OVER SIDE LATERAL -- 10 REPS. Bend over at a 90 degree angle, so that your back is flat like a table top. You should feel a stretch in <b>...</b>

Killer Home Chest Workout


scoobysworkshop.com Here is a great chest workout you can do at home with a cheap dumbbell set. Big gyms are nice but when you can get a killer workout at home without the overhead of getting to and from the gym. In this chest workout we are going to do pushups, then with no rest immediately do flys, then with no rest immediately do dumbbell press. Make sure and use a much lighter weight than you usually would on the flys and dumbbell press because after the pushups you wont have much left in you. After doing this set of three exercises, wait 2-5 minutes and do it again. Do 5-8 sets like this and you will be sore the next day. As with all dumbbell exercises,form is key if you want to maximize your muscle building efforts and minimize the chance of injury. Don't use too much weight, if you can't do the exercise slowly then you need to go lighter. Count aloud "one onethousand, two onethousand, three onethousand" on the way up and the way down, if you cant do this on this exercise then you are using too much weight. The reason this exercise method maximizes your muscle growth is because it confines the motion to the muscle you are trying to work out, if your body squirms, swings, and kicks, all you are doing is taking the focus away from the muscle you are trying to exercise. Anyone can be healthier, have more energy, sleep better, and feel better about themselves through bodybuilding. Advanced Killer Home Chest Workout

This workout is a complete 70 minute workout and consists of four supersets. superset 1: incline dumbbell press and flys superset 2: dumbbell press from the hip and thumbs up flys superset 3: incline flys and ultrawide pushups superset 4: pushups, flys, and dumbbell press We will do each superset three times and take 2-3 minutes rest between. Use a weight that lets you do 5-7 reps with good form. This is an intense workout and this is not meant to be used every week, just do this workout now and then to shake things up. Chest Workout: Dumbbell Flys


www.scoobysworkshop.com How do you get a massive chest? Most bodybuilders say "do lots of heavy bench press" - I disagree. There are two types of chest exercises, pushing exercisees (like bench press and pushups) and squeezing exercises (like pec deck and dumbbell flys). You need to do both to maximize your chest development. For me personally, the squeezing chest exercises have given me much better mass and strength gains than the pushing type exerciess. The king of the squeezing exercises is the dumbbell fly and its easy to do at home with just a used set of dumbbells. Heres how you do it. lay on floor together) knees up, abs flexed (lower back support) shoulder back, shoulder blades together arms perpendicular to sides elbows slightly bent go sloooooly up and slooooowly down flex you chest at top of rep Warning straight armed is much more difficlut than elbows bent because of leverage. Decrease your weight till you can do these with your arms almost straight. Many times you will see people doing WAY more than they should and they do them like this (demo). No, use less weight. Why? Because then you can spot yourself. At about rep 6 when you cant do another straight armed one, bend your elbows slightly. This increases your leverage and makes it easier on your pecs, now you can do 2 or 3 more. When you cant do any more reps, bend your elbows a bit more. This way, you can do forced reps safely. This is part two of my advanced pushup series. I will be doing 5 different types of advanced pushups and then I will combine them into one heck-of-a-chest workout. Best Chest Workout Weight Training Exercises


www.LeeHayward.com It's Lee Hayward here with a complete chest and shoulder weight training workout routine. Hardly a day goes by that I don't get at least one e-mail from someone asking how they can build a big muscular chest. Well in this video clip I'm going to share one of my all time favourite chest workouts for fast muscle gains. I like to start my chest workouts with a big basic compound power exercise. Usually some form of the bench press. In this video I'm doing the barbell bench press but I'll sometimes use dumbbells or incline bench presses instead. When doing bench presses make sure to set up properly by expanding your chest, arching your upper back, and pulling your shoulder blades back. This will help to fully activate the chest muscles and place less strain on the shoulder joints. It's also a good idea to have a spotter with you at all times just in case you need help lifting the barbell off your chest. The next exercise that I like to do is the dumbbell flye. This exercise works the chest in the fully stretched position. I don't use heavy weights here, but rather I emphasize getting a full stretch in the pecs. I even hold the weights for a second at the bottom position to get a better stretch. You'll also notice that I only lift the dumbbells about ¾ of the way up. Going all the way up just takes the stress off the chest muscles. In the video I'm doing incline bench flyes. Insane Dumbbell Chest Workout


The TRUTH about building muscle: sixpackshortcuts.com Hey man...what's going on? In this episode I want to show you a KILLER home chest workout you can do at home in just a few minutes. It's a great way to build a muscular chest -- and all you'll need is a couple of dumbbells to do it. The way it works is by using different chest exercises to hit your chest in different ways, one right after another. I designed this workout to really burn your chest out fast, and you're really going to be feeling it in your pecs after this workout. Here's how it's done. CLOSE GRIP DUMBBELL PRESS PULLOVER - 10 REPS. Hold the dumbbells close together (touching each other) and bring them down to your chest. Press them upwards, and then bring them behind your head for the pullover. Bring the dumbbells down as far as you can, and then pull them back up focusing on contracting your chest muscles during this movement. DUMBBELL CHEST PRESS - 10 REPS. Just like bench press, except with dumbbells. Use a heavier weight than the first exercise. Since this is a drop-set, be especially careful not to bring the weights down too far -- you shouldn't feel a "stretch" in your chest muscles. Most people should go down to about 90 degrees, but advanced guys who are more flexible PUSHUPS - 10 REPS. By this time your chest will be BURNT, but stay strong! Do your pushups are normal. Because this is your SECOND drop-set, again make sure your form is on point even when you're really tired. For a full chest <b>...</b>

CRAZY Chest Exercise - How to Build a Ripped, Defined Chest

It's a compound exercise because it also works out your shoulders, your back, and arms. You also use your legs to stabilize yourself. Warm up good and get your blood flowing before lifting heavy to prevent injuries since there's different muscle groups involved. I also do the barbell on some days but I'm showing you guys dumbbell workouts and typical machines most gyms will have. You will have to balance the dumbbell more than barbell which will build more on your wrist/ forearms. It will help you lift the bar easier. Also you wont need a spotter as you would need for the barbell to use heavier weights. Anyways its 100 degrees in this gym and there's no air conditioning so it's hard to lift here. lol Couple things to remember: Flat dumbbell press - Start off light since it's the beginning of the workout and increase gradually. -Keep your feet on the ground and spread out to maintain balance. - Place the dumb bell closer to your body so when you roll back you're ready to push the weight upright. -Try to go low as you can - If you want to target more on your chest; don't fully extend your bench as it will work out more on your triceps. This will also help if you're going heavier and if your muscles give out you can always drop the dumbbell to the side.
