The TRUTH about building muscle: sixpackshortcuts.com Hey man...what's going on? In this episode I want to show you a KILLER home chest workout you can do at home in just a few minutes. It's a great way to build a muscular chest -- and all you'll need is a couple of dumbbells to do it. The way it works is by using different chest exercises to hit your chest in different ways, one right after another. I designed this workout to really burn your chest out fast, and you're really going to be feeling it in your pecs after this workout. Here's how it's done. CLOSE GRIP DUMBBELL PRESS PULLOVER - 10 REPS. Hold the dumbbells close together (touching each other) and bring them down to your chest. Press them upwards, and then bring them behind your head for the pullover. Bring the dumbbells down as far as you can, and then pull them back up focusing on contracting your chest muscles during this movement. DUMBBELL CHEST PRESS - 10 REPS. Just like bench press, except with dumbbells. Use a heavier weight than the first exercise. Since this is a drop-set, be especially careful not to bring the weights down too far -- you shouldn't feel a "stretch" in your chest muscles. Most people should go down to about 90 degrees, but advanced guys who are more flexible PUSHUPS - 10 REPS. By this time your chest will be BURNT, but stay strong! Do your pushups are normal. Because this is your SECOND drop-set, again make sure your form is on point even when you're really tired. For a full chest <b>...</b>

All of these exercises will place the workload on the upper pecs to help fill out and build muscle in the top of the chest. In addition to that, because we are using dumbbells and cables for our exercises, each side of the chest will receive an equal workload. Sometimes when you do barbell or machine exercises the stronger side can over compensate for the weaker side. However, when you do dumbbell exercises both sides are forced to perform the exact same amount of work and thus help create equal development over the long term. Many people find it hard to feel their lats working when doing back workouts. However, this move is super strict and totally eliminates body momentum. It's easier to develop that mind muscle connection and feel your lats contract with each rep, especially when you pause and hold the peak contraction position at the top of each rep. Do this either as a pre-exhaust move before your back workout, or at the end as a finishing exercise. Keep the weights moderate and perform higher volume. What you do is take a single dumbbell and perform a set of 1 arm dumbbell curls. Then switch sides and do a set of curls for your other arm. After the curls do a set of 1 arm over head tricep extensions. Then switch and do a set of tricep extensions for your other arm. You can keep repeating this bicep and tricep super set combo in a circuit fashion because while 1 arm is working, the other arm is resting. This Crazy Dumbbell Complex Will Tear You Up!


www.leanandmeanblueprint.com For this week's Thursday Throwdown I dug back into the archives and when with a seriously tough 1 arm dumbbell complex I did a while back. This is a BRUTAL single arm dumbbell complex that will put you to the test both mentally and physically. The basis is simple Grab a dumbbell, put 12 mins on the clock and get to work! Here's how the complex breaksdown: 6 reps per movement: 1A) 1 Arm Power / Hang Snatch: I choose to start the complex out with a snatch. The is an explosive and powerfull full body movement with which can either start from the floor and do a power snatch or perform from a hanging position to do a hang snatch. Power snatches are better for heavier weights where hang snatches with be used more for lower weight ranges. The 1 arm snatch should be performed in one fluid and powerful movement. Use your hips to move the weight, not your arms. Make sure to keep your back tight and flat throughout the movement and have your arm tight overhead at the finish. 1B) Dumbbell Clean and Press: I love this movement! Probably one of my favorites! These just feel natural as your working your whole body using an explosive hip based movement paired up with a press overhead. As with the snatch, the dumbbell clean primarily uses the hips to move the weight, not your arms. After you get the weight up to the rack position, you press it overhead keeping your palm facing inside. If you're using heavier weight, utilize your hips for more power to push <b>...</b>
