Intensity by Cathe Friedrich - INTENSITY" is thy name and extreme fitness is thy game. When it comes to INTENSITY....you have met your match and more!!! I just adore this DVD. I know it sounds crazy with how intense it is, but there is an amazing amount of fun factor that goes along with the "sweat and tears" here. We actually LOVED rehearsing this DVD and looked forward to the butt kicking every time. If I had to say why this workout is the one I think you will reach for time and time again, it comes down to a lot of things just coming together perfectly. First, the music is SO fun. No lie, it really is, and makes you want to get up out of your chair each time you hear it. Second, the music matches the choreography in the workout so well that just when you think you can't do it again, you find that pep in your step and keep going. Third, the choreography is upbeat "Classic Cathe" (for lack of a better term) and allows you to just get in and go for it. Fourth, there is just enough twist on the moves to keep you on your toes along with minimal breakdown (because I know you are going to do this again and again), so you can't possibly get bored. Fifth, it is so versatile. You can do it as one long 60 minute workout or break it in to separate segments (for a short workout day) or an add on to another workout of your choice (to put a new twist on your existing fitness library). You've probably heard about HIIT a lot these days because it is being used in a lot of programs for fat loss. Smart trainers know that it is much more effective than regular slow, boring cardio, and you actually get results as compared to other cardio workouts where you aren't seeing any results at all. So HIIT means any type of sprint exercise that lasts from about 0-90 seconds. Anything longer than 2 minutes can get into what is known as aerobic interval training. Therefore, normally you want to sprint for 15, 30 or even 45 seconds, after which time you go down to a very easy period of exercise. That is one of the biggest mistakes most people make when doing interval training. Many people don't drop the intensity down low enough during the recovery period. For example, if you are going at 10 mph and you only drop down to 8 mph then in effect you're really still doing cardio and not high intensity interval training. You will not allow you body to sufficiently recover from the sprint portion and so you won't be able to sprint hard at 10 mph the next time around. So, you want to make sure you are going from hard to easy, or going from a sprint to a walk. It is okay to walk in interval training as this will allow you to work really hard and thus provide you with all the benefits of HIIT. Hauppauge HD PVR This is a great card...works straight out the box, no need to upgrade you're computer, as long as you have one of the newer ones, not one from 5 years ago, because all the encoding is already done by the product, not our computer. The downfall of this card is that it only has Component connections; therefore; limiting it's quality of the recorded footage. Pros: -Works right out the box -Doesn't need an extremely powerful computer/Works for PC and Mac -Ability to play Xbox 360 without turning on your computer(not 100% sure but it looks like it since the HD PVR has its own power adapter) Cons: -Component cables -No support or future support for 1080p/Resolutions only up to 1080i Blackmagic Intensity Pro The next best thing, I believe this card is better than the HD PVR for many reason, first being that it is an HDMI card and HDMI is better than component. I know people will say, for youtube, there no/minimal difference in quality between these cards, but in actuality, it is better.
